Quietly considered pieces, sorted by where they live.
Make a statement at the front door.
Solid brass door knockers, doorbell buttons and letter plates. Built to last, designed to impress.

Two finishes. Both solid brass.
Most of our range is lacquered — sealed to hold its warm, just-polished glow for years, with none of the upkeep. Prefer a finish that ages? Choose unlacquered and let it patina with the room it lives in.

Lacquered as standard.

Warm to the touch
The density and thermal quality of solid brass gives a tactile satisfaction no zinc alloy can match.
Hi there — nice to meet you.
We're Garrick & Naomi, founders of Barn & Brass. It started when we moved into our first home and searched high and low for hardware good enough to live with — and kept coming up short.
So we began compiling our own collection of fine homewares. Fast-forward to today and we have an ever-growing range of solid brass pieces — cabinet handles, doorbell pushes, kitchen accessories and more — every item hand-picked with love.
Thank you for coming by and taking a browse.

Common questions
Lacquered brass is coated with a clear protective layer that keeps its bright golden colour indefinitely. Unlacquered brass is left bare and will develop a natural patina over time.
For lacquered pieces, wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild soap. For unlacquered brass, polish to restore shine or leave to develop naturally.
