Cast from solid unlacquered brass, each knocker is designed to develop a rich natural patina over time. Rather than resisting age, the brass gradually deepens in colour, creating what we call a living finish. Exposure to the elements and regular use will produce a finish that is entirely unique to your home. If you prefer the original golden appearance, it can simply be polished back to its bright finish.

Living Finish

Unlike lacquered brass, this door knocker is left completely untreated. This allows the metal to age naturally, developing warm honey, amber and antique tones through exposure to the weather and everyday use. No two pieces will ever age in exactly the same way, giving your home a character that cannot be replicated.

If you ever wish to restore its original polished appearance, the brass can be cleaned using a suitable brass polish.
