Patina and Age

Unlacquered brass objects develop a patina over time that is genuinely beautiful. The exposure to light and air, the occasional touch, and the natural processes of oxidation all leave marks on the surface that deepen and enrich the appearance of the piece. An unlacquered brass object you buy today will look different in five years, and better in twenty.

If you prefer a consistent, bright finish, our lacquered pieces will hold their appearance indefinitely with only occasional dusting required.
